Street Art & Mural Painting in La Tabacalero, Madrid

One of the highlights of the Madrid workshops was a trip to La Tabacalero to paint wall murals. On the way, Rosaleen and her fellow artists got a chance to view some exciting street art and took some inspiration for the workshop.

Here is Rosaleen participating in the mural painting with the artists from Debajo Del Sombrero and AIM.

Painting Workshop in Madrid

On the first day of the workshops in Matadero, the artists were presented with an array of white objects to transform with paint. Here is Rosaleen with Louise discussing the choices.

Rosaleen chose a suitcase. Her idea for it's transformation came from her love of her own city of Cork and her new surroundings of Madrid. On each side of the suitcase there are colourful and exciting paintings of both cities.

Let's start by sharing some photographs of the workshop in Matadero, her art and people Rosaleen worked with for the week.
